Anne Fox
The East Kent Coast Liberal Democrats' candidate for the upcoming by-election for Sandwich Town Council is Anne Fox.
Formerly a Local Council officer, now retired, Ms Fox says she is extremely keen to put her knowledge, experience and time to good use for the benefit of the people of Sandwich.
Describing herself as "open-minded but pragmatic," Fox vows to become an "active and effective member of Sandwich Town Council".
A resident of Sandwich for almost thirty years, she has the advantage of hands-on experience of Local Government. "I have extensive knowledge of Local Government," says Fox. "I know how it works and what it takes to make it work smoothly and effectively."
During her career, she also gained valuable experience of delivering large-scale programmes. "I therefore have the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to make a real contribution to the realisation of the 'Vision for Sandwich' and other future projects," she adds.
Out and About in Sandwich: Lib Dem Candidate Anne Fox chats to local entrepreneur, Jonny Inker, Proprietor of the 'Goats that Dance' coffee shop.
Once elected, the Liberal Democrat candidate promises to focus on a number of issues, including supporting Sandwich Town Heritage initiatives and youth opportunities. "I also intend to be an effective lobbyist with DDC and KCC to help resolve those concerns we all share in this Town, from policing, traffic and parking to litter and enforcement," she concludes.
