Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate George Cunningham was joined by many of his District Council Candidates to launch local manifestos for both North Thanet and Herne Bay which is coming out today.

George Cunningham said:

"Voting for Lib Dem would mean Thanet and Herne Bay investing in its future. My international experience combined with local Lib Dems' knowledge and dynamism would mean Thanet and Herne Bay benefiting from being open to the world, attracting investment and growth.

"Voting for the Tory or UKIP euro-sceptic candidates would mean Thanet continuing to stay at the bottom of Kent's deprivation league, not reaching its full investment potential, especially if their madness takes us out of Europe".

"No one will join a coalition government with UKIP. No one from central government will want to help or touch Thanet if UKIP takes control of the Thanet District Council or has any MPs here. Given Thanet District Council parlous financial situation, that would be grave indeed".

The Lib Dem Manifestos for both parts of the constituency are being deivered this week via Freepost to all of the 71,900 electors in the constituency.
